Sins of the Father (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) > Customer Review #1:
Another Golden winner.

I have been rereading some of my favorite Buffy books. Sins of the Father ranks right up there on the top of my list. Christopher Golden has a real talent for developing these characters. While Giles faces his most difficult foe, Buffy must fight demons both real and personal. Her old friend Pike returns. Angel wonders if he should step aside and let Buffy experience love with a human. Its a wonderful triangle of lovers old and new. The action of course is gripping. I enjoyed this even more with the second reading. I recommend this to all Buffy fans.

Sins of the Father (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) > Customer Review #2:
This is a good story, but not one of the best BTVS books..

"Sins Of the Father" tries to do too much in too little space. The initial plot line of Buffy and Pike versus a stone demon was interesting, and a change from the typical vampire stories. However, we then get handed a couple of subplots that dont mesh well with the main story. Giles confrontation with a "vampire" who appears to be his father might have been better handled as a separate book. And the "personal" elements--Angel/Buffy dealing with an old boyfriend showing up, Giles issues with his father and his destiny as a Watcher, are familiar territory already. All in all, Id give it between two and three stars.

Sins of the Father

In the past couple of years I have read a lot of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer books and this one, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sins of the Father by Christopher Golden, has been the best so far. This book helps explain the connection between the movie and the TV series. The one character from the movie, Pike comes to Buffy and her gang, for help from the monster that has been following him. They all get together to defeat this "big-bad" like they always do. The past is pretty much revisited in this book.
I would recommend this book to teenagers and those who like the TV series. It ties up a lot of loose ends between the movie and series, so those who wonder how they go together would now have the answers. This also is a pretty simple read, so for those looking for something not too difficult, this would be a great book.
